Inspired by the creative, innovative and supportive island community of Shapinsay, Orkney, we are slowly working to bring our first sensory craft product to life. The activity can be enjoyed by humans ages 3+.

Intention: create a product that is high-quality, low-cost, sustainable, inclusive and positively benefits the user.

Benefit: the act of touching raw wool can help redirect your attention away from anxious or distracting thoughts and bring your focus to the present moment and the sensory experience at hand. This practice is similar to other grounding techniques, like deep breathing or mindfulness exercises, which aim to anchor individuals in the "here and now" and foster a sense of calm.

Sustainable: the product contents and packaging have been reviewed by a sustainability expert, we've tested the activity with adults and children to ensure we are producing a quality and effective product.

We are in the final stages of illustrating and editing the activity booklet and will be launching the product later this year!
