stories of impact
Our wholebeing programs are grounded in the Human Thriving Equation, which teaches that:
Human thriving = Personal Wellbeing + Fairness + Worthiness
Personal wellbeing is supported by the SPIRE model: spiritual, physical, intellectual, relational, and emotional wellbeing.
Fairness means voice, choice, and access to effective wellbeing support.
Worthiness means feeling valued and contributing value to the world around us.
When these elements come together, both personal and collective wellbeing become possible. One cannot exist without the other.
Regrow is also informed by Gabor Maté’s teachings on trauma, emotional development, and coping; acknowledging that many struggles stem from unprocessed pain, not being our authentic self and unmet needs.
These evidence-based frameworks, combined with Alison’s lived experiences of loss, healing, community practice, and post-traumatic growth, shape how Regrow designs programs, spaces, and experiences that support wholebeing for individuals and communities.
This foundation guides everything we create: from community festivals and reflective spaces to nature-based experiences, creative workshops, somatic and breathwork offerings, and retreats.
Over the past two years, more than 2,300 total attendances have taken part in Regrow experiences across the Orkney Islands. Each attendance represents a moment of connection, courage, insight, or healing.
These Stories of Impact explore what happens when wholebeing meets real communities, real challenges, and real people; how environments of safety, creativity, fairness, reflection, and relational connection can spark meaningful change for individuals and for the communities they belong to.
